Biography
Dr. Christian Okafor, was born on 9th September, 1971 in Anambra state of Nigeria. Educationally I obtained the first school leaving certificate of the Anambra state ministry of education in 1982 and proceeded to do secondary education at Federal Government College, Ikot-Ekpene now in Akwa-Ibom state, Nigeria. Following this I obtained the Senior School Certificate in Education in 1988 and then obtained MB;BS degree from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in 1996. After one year of national service, I enrolled into the residency programme of National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and graduated in 2009 having specialised in Internal medicine (Endocrine, Diabetes & Metabolism sub-specialty). Currently I am Senior Lecturer in the Departments of Medicine and Physiology of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the College of Medicine, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus and also a consultant physician / Endocrinologist at University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku Ozalla, Enugu.
Research Interest
My research interests are in the field of diabetes mellitus, Thyroid disorders and Lipid metabolism.
